Friday 27th to Sunday 29th March 2009

Theme: GOLD

Following an extensive review by the Festival Committee, the Buninyong Gold King Festival has officially changed its dates to Friday 27 to Sunday 29 March, 2009.

The decision to change the Festival schedule (from its former date in February) to the last weekend in March will align the Festival with a number of other community initiatives and most importantly, avoid the intense Summer heat which has created a number of difficulties for Festival staff and participants in the last few years.

The 2009 Grand Parade will be held on Sunday 29 March at 2.00pm. Participants will be required to assemble in Inglis Street at 1.30pm or earlier by arrangement.

The Parade is an exciting celebration of the community groups, organisations and clubs that make Buninyong a fantastic place to work, play and live. It aims to celebrate the life, vitality and culture of Buninyong with the local community and visitors. The Grand Parade is about celebrating our community and its diversity.

For further information please contact our Parade Coordinator – Cathy Micich on Mobile: 0402 134 675. Entry forms are available on the website or by contacting Cathy.
